Franklin Wenham has worked as a primal therapist since 1985. After undergoing therapy himself in Los Angeles at the Primal Institute, founded by Dr Arthur Janov, he entered the training programme there in 1979. On returning to England, he completed his training at the Primal Therapy Centre in Brighton, and worked there as a therapist until 1990. Prior to becoming a therapist, he worked for fifteen years in industry, as an entrepreneur, in publishing and as a lecturer in languages, living in Belgium, Mexico, Africa and the USA. He has completed postgraduate studies in therapy and counselling and can work in French and Spanish.
Jan Armitage underwent therapy and trained as a therapist at the Primal Therapy Centre in Brighton in 1986. She was later responsible for the theoretical component of the training programme there whilst completing postgraduate work in counselling and therapy. She has also worked in finance, in industry and in national charities, and has lived in France.
After working together for several years at the Primal Therapy Centre, they began working in partnership at the start of 1991, offering therapy in London and Brighton. They are both accredited members of the BACP, and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.
Franklin will be retiring at the end of August this year and so, regretfully, he is now no longer taking on any new clients. He will, however, be happy to talk to anyone who was thinking of applying for therapy and possibly refer them on to alternatives.
Please note that Jan Armitage, whose details were formerly available on this site, has now retired, and is no longer available for contact or for therapy.
